Debate
You are handed a country, not an opinion. Learning to argue a position you did not choose is the whole exercise, and it is the part that transfers to everything else.
SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals
Four days. Eight committees. Two working languages. Five hundred students from across Qatar taking a seat at the table, and learning that a resolution is something you build with people who disagree with you.

The 2027 theme
No country solves a shared problem alone, and no delegate wins a committee alone. Sustainable Development Goal 17 is the one goal about the other sixteen: it asks how cooperation actually gets built. Every committee at Doha MUN 2027 opens its agenda against that question.
What this is
Doha MUN is organised by Student Affairs and Community Engagement within Pre-University Education at Qatar Foundation, and it is led by students at every level that matters. Students chair the committees, write the study guides, keep the speakers list, rule on points of order, and close the session. Adults handle logistics and safeguarding. The floor belongs to the delegates.
More about Doha MUNYou are handed a country, not an opinion. Learning to argue a position you did not choose is the whole exercise, and it is the part that transfers to everything else.
Resolutions are written in the room, in clauses, with people whose instructions contradict yours. Nothing teaches precise writing faster than a delegate hunting your loopholes.
Amendments, points of information, a vote that can go against you. Delegates leave knowing what it costs to get thirty people to agree to one sentence.
Eight committees
Each committee runs in one working language and opens two topics. Study guides are published with your assignment.
Disarmament and International Security
Social, Humanitarian and Cultural
Development, finance and coordination
Environment and climate
From application to gavel
A teacher registers the delegation — up to ten delegates, with a named supervising adult. Individual students cannot register alone.
You receive a committee, a country, and the two topics on its agenda, along with the study guide written by your chairs.
Research the position, submit a position paper, and learn enough of the rules of procedure to stand up without checking your notes.
Opening ceremony, lobbying, debate, amendments, a vote, and a closing ceremony where the awards are read out.
